Hello, my name is Amanda Strain and I am a Senior Communication Studies Major with a concentration in Organizational Communication at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. I am set to graduate May of 2017. I am an active participant in the major. I am also the President of Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Honor Society. The responsibilities that I  have as being president of Lambda Pi Eta are facilitating board and member meetings, promoting the organizations fundraisers and events.  I am also an active executive board member, Vice President, of the National Communication Association Student Chapter at Bloomsburg. Here injunction with the rest of the board I promote educational meetings that will benefit the active members of the organization.

When I am not focusing on school work or involved in my  organizations I am working a full time job. I am currently a Core Community Assistant at Bloomsburg University. I have been a Community Assistant for three years and after my  first year, I was hired as a Core Community Assistant. As I finish up my last semester at Bloomsburg I will also be working for the Center for Leadership and Engagement office as their intern. Here, I will be involved in training other clubs and staff members on how to work the University’s up and coming Husky Sync Site.
